The Timberlook difference

The timber look without the upkeep, made for Solihull

Across Solihull, 1930s semis and detached family homes on leafy roads line street after street, and a bay or bow window is often what gives each home its presence. Our uPVC bay and bow windows recreate the look of traditional joinery in fine detail, with none of the rot, flaking or repainting that timber demands. What are the benefits of Timberlook bay and bow windows for my Solihull home?

Choosing new windows raises plenty of questions, especially when your home has period character to protect. Here are the answers Solihull homeowners ask us for most.

Upgrade Your Solihull Home with Timberlook Bay and Bow Windows

How do bay and bow windows improve kerb appeal?

Few upgrades change the face of a property like new bay or bow windows. They restore the proportions the house was designed with, add light inside and signal that the home has been cared for. That combination of character and performance is a strong selling point.

Can you replace my existing timber bay window like for like?

Yes. Every Timberlook window is made to measure, so an existing bay or bow can be replaced while keeping the proportions, sightlines and detailing of the original. Many customers choose astragal bars and heritage handles to mirror what was there before, just without the ongoing maintenance.

Will trickle vents spoil the look of my new windows?

Ventilation rules mean most new windows need trickle vents, but they do not have to be an eyesore. Our concealed vent design tucks the external canopy behind a head drip on the outer frame, keeping sightlines clean while still delivering the fresh air your home needs.

How secure are Timberlook bay and bow windows?

All our bay and bow windows are certified to PAS24 specifications, the recognised security standard for doors and windows in the UK. Multi point locking and robust, fully welded frames mean the most attractive window on your house is also one of the most secure.

Will I ever need to repaint these windows?

No repainting, ever. Unlike timber bays that need attention every few years, Timberlook frames simply need a clean now and then. The foiled and smooth finishes are highly resistant to fading, so the windows keep their colour season after season.

And where in the country do you offer your Bay and Bow Windows?

Timberweld tech

Innovative technology, modern design

Our Timberlook bay and bow windows for Solihull homes are fully sealed using patented Timberweld technology. This innovative method balances traditional timber butt joint aesthetics with modern welding precision and efficiency. The Timberweld technique joins frame corners, creating completely sealed edges. This technology ensures a superior finish that will dramatically improve your Solihull home's windows, combining classic appearance with contemporary performance.

Concealed trickle vents

Hidden ventilation options for your Solihull home

You don't have to spoil the appearance of your new windows with unsightly trickle vents anymore. At Timberlook, we have come up with a solution - a head drip that can be attached to the Timberlook outer frame, concealing any external vent canopy. Our concealed trickle vents are designed with both aesthetics and functionality in mind, offering improved air quality while maintaining the sleek look of your windows.

    Cills

Choosing the right cill for your Timberlook windows

We offer a choice of cill options to enhance your bay and bow windows. Choose between the contemporary shallow cill that comes as standard or the Radlington Cill which has been designed to add a sophisticated charm to any property.

    85mm Stubb Cills

These small but strong cills are often used for properties with stone cills, having been crafted to ensure that moisture is directed away from the frames, removing the risk of water ingress.

    150mm Cills

As the industry’s ‘standard’, these cills protrude 80mm from the front of the frame. They offer long lasting protection, are virtually maintenance free, and come in a choice of colours.

    180mm Cills

The 180mm cill is the largest cill we offer, protruding 110mm from the front of the frame. You’ll often find these cills in properties with frames that are recessed in the brickwork.

    Radlington 165mm

Cills are usually 30mm deep, but to accurately emulate traditional looking frames, the Radlington cill is slightly thicker at 55mm deep, protruding 95mm from the face of the frame.

    Hardware

Quality hardware to compliment your home

As standard, our bay and bow windows are equipped with contemporary handles. However, you can customise them even further with our Premium Regency furniture. You have the option to choose from Peardrop and monkey-tail handles to give your windows a unique touch.

    Standard Handles

Our sleek window handles fit perfectly with Timberlook windows and won’t interrupt views. They are available in a wide range of colours to perfectly match our windows, and offer smooth and comfortable operation.

    Monkey Tail

Inject distinctive character and timeless elegance into Timberlook windows with monkey tail handles. These elegant and durable handles add a touch of vintage charm while providing reliable functionality.

    Pear Drop

Transform the look of Timberlook windows with classic and ornate pear drop handles. These handles combine timeless aesthetics with practicality, enhancing the beauty and functionality of our flush casement windows.

    Peg/ Dummy Stays

Decorative and functional peg/dummy stays not only add a touch of charm to our Timberlook flush casement windows, but also provide sturdy support, improving the overall window experience.
