New Windows for Historic Buildings

We are delighted to announce we supplied our first order to the charitable foundation The Ernest Cook Trust.

Founded in 1952, Ernest Cook was the grandson of the famed travel agent, Thomas Cook. This notwithstanding, he made his own way by trading foreign currencies used by people in the new fashion of international travel. Along with his brother Frank, he sold his exchange company in 1928 for £3.5m (a huge amount back then) and he would go on to use his money to buy estates and land for educational use. Still, to this day, money from the estates is allocated for educational grants.

We were contracted to supply flush sash windows and doors for one of the Trust’s many historic properties. Timberlook window designs are sympathetic to existing Cotswolds architecture. Our uPVC flush casements met all the planning requirements, and you can find photos of the results in our gallery.
